The washroom project brief

The Lakeside House washroom project brief was straightforward and concise – To provide cost-effective and compliant washroom products that possess quality features to suit the modern day professional office environment.

Drawing inspiration from the natural environment by using earthy tones and different textures between the floor and wall tiling, the washroom fittings were to have the highest colour contrast possible to remain prominent and attract attention, and the use of black and white was the most striking combination to bring the Lakeside House washroom project to life.

The Dolphin solution

To meet the brief for a cost-effective and stylish looking commercial washroom, we kicked off the Lakeside House washroom project with the Dolphin DS102 SMART enabled wall mounted sensor tap (maximum flow rate of 3.5 litres/minute) with our touch free soap dispenser bottle that holds standard liquid soap situated above the wash basin.

Within the toilet cubicles, you will find the Dolphin BC402 robe hook, the BC403 coat hook and door stop, and the BC850 toilet roll holder. This is a special type of toilet roll holder because it holds two pendimatic / ultimatic types of toilet rolls, perfectly suitable for low to medium traffic areas.

The Doc M ambulant accessible toilet featuring an outward opening door and situated at the end of the stalls included white Dolphin grab rails, the BC925 mini jumbo toilet roll dispenser, BC928 paper towel dispenser, alarm pull cord, manual soap dispenser and the BC727 wall mounted toilet brush set. Compliant and fitting for a practical ambulant accessible washroom in a superloo layout.

A hygienic and sustainable washroom

The touch free taps are SMART enabled, which allows management to measure and monitor water and energy usage. By analysing granular data collected via the software, management can make informed decisions in potentially changing the sensor tap settings to adjust the shut-off delay, for example. Monitoring this information (and acting on it) allows the client to improve their sustainability objectives in conserving water and energy.

The Dolphin InForm Taps also include an automatic hygiene flush or line-purge system to combat the risk of legionella and eliminate unpleasant odours caused by dry waste traps during a pandemic, holiday season or if the office space is not in use.

As long as the maintenance and cleaning regime remains in line with the WELL Building Standards, the touch free soap dispensers comply with the WELL Hygiene Support feature by reducing touch points for a healthier and hygienic washroom experience.
